What is the Fifth Wave STEAM Hackathon? The Fifth Wave STEAM Hackathon is a pioneering event that brings together individuals passionate about science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) to address climate change challenges through innovation and collaboration. With a special emphasis on South African youth aged 12 to 35, the hackathon serves as a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and fostering creativity.
Key Highlights of the Hackathon:
Two-day event featuring an accelerated accredited Blockchain course, keynote addresses, panel discussions, and a Pitch Session showcasing participants' viable innovations for solving climate change.
Accessible Metaverse virtual platform for team collaboration, mentorship, on-demand videos, and knowledge sharing.
Monitoring and evaluation plan to track progress, assess educational resources, measure project impact, and gather feedback.
